GitLab extension for Visual Studio

The GitLab extension integrates GitLab with Visual Studio for Windows.

GitLab for Visual Studio supports:

• GitLab Duo Chat (Agentic)
• GitLab Duo Code Suggestions
• GitLab Duo Chat (Classic)

Update the extension

To update your extension to the latest version:

1. In Visual Studio, go to Extensions > Manage Extensions….
2. Select the Updates tab.
3. Search for GitLab published by GitLab (gitlab.com).
4. Select Update on the extension to update to the latest version.
