Source code frontend development guidelines

These pages cover the frontend of the source code areas of GitLab: the repository browser, the blob (file) viewer, and the editors built on top of them.

• App initialization (repository and blob pages): which Vue apps mount on the repository and blob pages, and how each entry point initializes them.
• Source viewer layout: the CSS grid layout that aligns the blame gutter, line numbers, and code in the blob viewer.
• Syntax highlighting: how the blob viewer highlights file content with Highlight.js and Rouge.
• Source Editor: the Monaco-based editor used by the Web IDE, Web Editor, snippets, and other features.
